Internal Flooding PSA

In order to respond to the increasing expectations for internal flooding PSA to meet modern standards requirements, Jacobsen have developed an integrated Fire and Flood PSA database system (JAFFdb) that is capable of supporting the detailed probabilistic treatment of a large number of flood scenarios. One of the main advantages of JAFFdb is the capability to automatically generate flood scenarios and calculate their frequency of occurrence based on the raw input data. As a result our clients can benefit from a reduced level of expensive analytical effort while keeping the desired level of detail.

Level 3 PSA Offsite Consequences Benchmark of PACE and PC COSYMA

Jacobsen Analytics were asked by a client to evaluate the functionality and usability of PACE, a new state-of-the-art tool developed for Level 3 PSA analysis. Results were compared against PC COSYMA, the tool currently used by the client but which is no longer updated and maintained. Jacobsen developed tools to automate running PACE and to efficiently compare the output with equivalent results from PC COSYMA. Results were discussed with the client and software developer to inform future developments and work plans.
